Hartlein wins Home Builders Award

John Hartlein of Jackson was recently recognized by the Home Builders Association of Mississippi as the winner of a Best in Mississippi Award for a home he built in Starkville.

The Chaney Paschal Residence in the Maison de Ville Garden Homes community was selected as the “Best Single Family New Construction Spec Home Less than 1,800 Square Feet.” This 3-bedroom, 2-bath brick garden home on a 5,500-square-foot lot was built for maintenance-free living. Hartlein also incorporated many elegant features of a much larger and more expensive home into the residence. An 8-foot mahogany French door with matching transom highlights the front elevation. Three stained mahogany French doors open outdoor from the great room to the private courtyard and outdoor kitchen, framed by an overhead covered arbor.

The three-acre gated community is at the corner of South Montgomery and Lynn Lane in Starkville.

The Home Builders Association of Mississippi is a 2,200-member statewide trade association that serves as the voice of the Mississippi housing industry. This is the third HBAM award that Hartlein has won for the Maison de Ville development.

J. W. Hartlein & Company, Inc. is a 24-year-old Mississippi corporation devoted strictly to the real estate development and construction business. Founded by John W. Hartlein, the company specializes in residential, Gulf front condominiums and hotel developments in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Louisiana. A native of Indianola, Hartlein is a 1973 Mississippi State University graduate with a BLA in Landscape Architecture.
